Summer Day Camp

Sign your kids (ages 5-12) up for 1-7 weeks of fitness-forward FUN! Each day will be filled with daily gym games,
backyard and pool play, and each week will feature different themes, presenters, and youth athletic experts. Out counselors, coaches, and community have pulled out all of the stops to make sure campers' fun and learning doesn't stop! Register for one or more weeks here.

Welcome to Summer Day Camp! We are so excited to meet you! This week we'll dive right into the fun, kicking if off with squirt guns, gym games and more excitement!

Sports week is all about experiencing new and different sports! We'll explore, practice, and learn to play in teams this week. As a special guest, we have a collegiate bound women's hockey player who will speak to us and give us some real-time demonstrations in hockey!

For STEM week we will explore, predict, build, and create this week! We will also welcome a presentation of the Starlab from Oakland County Parks where we will explore space and the stars right within the walls of GLAC!

While we spend a lot of time outdoors at camp, this week, we will explore nature in creative and thoughtful ways. We will build bug huts, bird feeders, paint rocks to decorate our landscape, and so much more!

We live in a pretty great community, filled with real-life superheroes, and we are so excited to bring some important community figures right to our camp! We will explore how our local police and fire departments keep us safe, as well as other important roles in our community.

During Storytellers week, we will explore how we share stories in different ways! We will read, act, create, and explore being storytellers this week and we'll take part in an acting class (taught by our very own, Maria Brandon!) as well as guest visit from our Lake Orion Public Library!

We will soak up this final week of camp with ALL THINGS WATER including lots of outdoor water games, challenges, and fun! We will end summer with a fun Parents vs. Kids relay race.
