Facility Rentals
Rent one of our facilities at Wildwood Amphitheater, Civic Center Park, Jesse Decker Park, Friendship Park, Camp Agawam or at the Orion Center for a reunion, open house, wedding or other gathering. Call 248.391.0304 x3502 for rental information, or to check availability and rates. Reservations can be made for picnic pavilions and other park facilities to accommodate a variety of activities. From small get-togethers to big family reunions and company picnics, the Township parks are here for you to enjoy.

How to Reserve a Facility
We invite you to reserve a covered Picnic Pavilion, Gazebo, Friendship Park Meeting Room, Orion Center Banquet Room, or athletic fields at either Civic Center Park, Jesse Decker or Friendship Park. Several areas are ideal for baby showers, birthday celebrations, bridal showers, company picnics, family reunions, graduation open houses, weddings and other gatherings.

Reserving a park facility ensures that the site will be clean and dedicated for your use. Facility Use Fees vary depending on the facility and the amount of time for which it is reserved. Before submitting any forms and fees, call 248.391.0304 x3502 to confirm the date and that facility is available.

Reservations must be made at least fourteen (14) business days in advance of the event.

Large groups are required to provide proof of insurance.

Remember, alcoholic beverages are prohibited in all parks and facilities with the exception of the Orion Center Banquet Rooms and Camp Agawam (additional damage deposit and approval required). Smoking is prohibited within fifty (50') feet of any athletic field, play structure, Orion Township facility or recreation activity. We encourage you to fully read the rental agreement and note the Facility & Park Use Rules (Section 8).

All fees (rental fee and security deposit, if applicable) are due at the time of reservation along with a completed facility rental agreement and proof of insurance (large groups only). The Friendship Park Pavilion, Meeting Room, Gazebo and Orion Center Banquet Room require a $100 refundable security deposit. Deposit will be refunded within 30 days unless damages and/or additional clean-up is required. In the event that you need to cancel your reservation, a written request must be received a minimum of fourteen (14) business days prior to your reservation date, a $25 cancellation fee will be applied. Security deposit will be refunded in full.

Liability Insurance Requirements
Leagues and/or businesses shall provide a certificate of insurance indicating comprehensive general liability coverage of not less that $500,000 C.S.L. and naming the "Charter Township of Orion" as additional insured.

All commercial, non-profits and charitable groups, which include but are not limited to; moon walks, dunk tanks, tethered not air balloon rides, tent rentals, etc., must provide evidence certifying insurance coverage in the amount of $1,000,000 combined single limited liability insurance naming the "Charter Township or Orion and including all elected and appointed officials, all employees and volunteers" as additional insured to said policy. The minimum coverage is $1,000,000 policy as directed by the Township's attorney.
